MILANA'S REVIEW

What is happening to my mind! I am completely blown away. I picked up The Queen of Attolia (TQOA) immediately after reading The Thief and I was expecting things to ramp up a little but 50 pages in and I was pacing my living room with Alex repeatedly asking me if I was OKAY. I don’t know, am I okay? Yeah I am. But then again, I don’t think I am. I don’t know!

After finishing this book I quickly ran back to The Thief and started flipping through it to see it I could piece together some hidden elements. This is the second review I am writing for this series and I feel as though I am just spewing my emotions onto this virtual page. I need Alex to read these so we can talk about them, I can’t handle it.

I am often let down with YA series because it just feels as if there’s something missing but Megan Whalen Turner you are a master of your craft! I am so excited to read The King of Attolia but I don’t know if I’m ready yet. I need to brace myself before I continue this roller coaster.

I’m also very surprised how connected I was to Gen, the main character, in a book that was written in third person. How can I completely be immersed in a character from this view whereas in the first book I wasn’t even though it was written through his point of view. I feel as though I have some weird inception thing happening to me right now. Also, my sentences are kind of cramming into one another because I feel so many thoughts and emotions for this one!

Grab The Thief… read halfway and then go grab TQOA and the rest of them, follow my example, come ride the crazy train with me.
