MILANA’S REVIEW

Wow I just LOVED Saga! It had all the elements I wanted: diversity, beautiful albeit disturbing artwork, unique storyline, amazing characters, creepy storyline and AN AWESOME CAT. I’ve seen this one floating around but was always hesitant to pick it up specifically because of the artwork. If I don’t like a graphic novels artwork I cannot continue reading. After all, half the enjoyment out of graphic novels is the artwork. I find some images to make my skin crawl (ie: human bodies with tv’s for heads) but decided to give it a shot anyways! I was surprised that the images didn’t freak me out as much as I thought they would and instead I found them powerful and truly a punch in the gut to make me think on a deeper level. If you want to try something new and different check out Saga!
