Have you read the first two Binti books? If not you really must! Visit my review for the first Binit book HERE. If you have not read the first two I would definitely keep this one tucked away until you do because you will miss out on the extraordinary world building that Nnedi Okorafor has created with the Binti books. You'll also miss out on an intense journey to the third book you do not want to miss, not to mention you'll be a tad confused. What's great about these is that they're novella sized..which means you won't have to spend 100$ to get caught up and you'll literally fly through them they're that good.

My favourite thing about Binti is how wonderfully weird the books are and how wonderfully metaphorical they are. I absolutely love how Okorafor has incorporated human world issues through her alien creations. They're so incredibly intricate and eye opening you'll know exactly the historical events she draws from to bring Binti's world to life. Binti is also so resourceful and resilient and BRAVE. I love Binti so much, she's one of my ultimate heroines. This is through the eyes of Binti and she is learning just as we are when we read the books. I wish there was more.

I'd like to point out that Nnedi Okorafor has written some of the recent Black Panter comics and if you're in desperate need of more Afrofuturism because you're still detoxing from the movie you NEED to pick up Binti, she'll satisfy those cravings!
