This story is one of intrigued and the imperfections that lie in humans. Celeste Ng is able to deeply move you and show you the different sides of one intense tale. At its core Little Fires Everywhere is about relationships and most importantly the relationships between mother and daughter. The underlying messages focusing on family bonds, human mistakes and compassion is what made this book a well read for me.

Don't go into this one with an expectation of a fast plot but definitely expect fires to explode metaphorically and figuratively. It picked up for me around chapter 10 in case you find yourself wondering where its going. If you love a good book about small town politics, complicated relationships and an emotional read you'll really enjoy this one! The ending was so satisfying for me that I breathed deeply at the end and immediately knew my friends need to pick this one up.
