The central question of this book is "how would you react if a loved one was accused of a horrific thing"?!
Zoe Whittal is such a great writer! She captures the emotion and complexity of people perfectly. She works in tones of grey when it comes to black and white problems and that is what drew me into this book! It scared me a bit however because it makes you question "how do you really know the inner thoughts of those around you?" The answer is you don't, you have to trust them. Each character in this book had layers and layers to them. I was impressed with the way the author pin pointed into the raw emotions of each character to bring out their decisions.
As for the plot, the entire book I kept thinking "but did he do it? Is he guilty?" which is what ultimately kept me reading. If you're looking for a thought provoking book I highly recommend this one! It was a great read and it gave me goosebumps all along the way.
