Top Ten Tuesday's are my favourite posts! They really challenge me and force me to step out of my comfort zone. This week I had a really hard time picking my top 10 favourite books I read in 2017! Some of them were released in 2017 while others were books I couldn't believe were not on my radar.
__________
10. Binti by Nnedi Okorafor
This was the most unique books I have ever read! Okorafor is one of those authors who I feel I have so much to learn from. I loved this novella!

9. The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
Are you looking for a dark and luscious read? Are you looking for a new fairy tale? Are you looking for a romance that makes you shiver? Look no further. This is it.

8. Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I have no words for this book. Well I have many words but most of them are incoherent because I'm a blubbering mess when it comes to Laini Taylor's writing. Poetic and beautiful.

7. The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner
The depth of this book is only visible once you read the rest of the series. Prepare yourself to read the entire series to appreciate this one!

6. Making Faces by Amy Harmon
Very rarely does a book make me sob. This one made me cry so hard I didn't know what was happening to me.

5. A Secret History of Witches by Louisa Morgan
I was completely transported to a world where the possibility of witches did not seem far fetched. I didn't want to leave.

4. The Bird & The Sword by Amy Harmon
Amy Harmon is one of my auto-buy authors now. This was an amazing fairy tale and gave me such aches. I love these characters with my whole heart.

3. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
This book! THIS BOOK! This book took my breath away.

2. Down Among The Sticks & Stones by Seanan McGuire
Everytime I think about this book I drool a little. It's seriously gothic perfection.

1. October Daye by Seanan McGuire
I have an obsession and that obsession is Seanan McGuire's books. More specifically, October Daye. I cannot express how much I love this series and how much I have connected with October. It's a feeling I've only felt with Lord of the Rings before.

Thanks for tuning in! You may have seen repeat authors.. Seanan McGuire and Amy Harmon. Both I had not heard of before this year so of course I had to read everything they've written!
