ARCstravaganza Monday: Circe
We all know Monday's. They come straight up to you and smack you, every week! Monday's are always hard for us all but you know what makes it a bit better? Books of course! ARCs (advance reader copies) are wonderful gems bloggers/booksellers receive and that's what ARCstravaganza Monday is all about! I'd love to share what books I'm reading prior to release date so you can see what books I can't wait to hit the shelves. See below for this weeks ARC I'm super excited about this time around!

Have you read The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller? If you just said no you better go pick it up! It's SO GOOD. I mean that book was so well written, the words flew through my mind like butter. And by the end my book was so water marked because I cried uncontrollably. Seriously. Go grab The Song of Achilles and if you're thinking "okay Milana but you can't just tell me to go buy a book without any context" then go read my review HERE and then go buy the book. :)
After finishing The Song of Achilles you're going to need a big old box of Kleenex and after you've taken some deep breaths you can GET EXCITED because Madeline Miller is bringing us another take on Greek Mythology with CIRCE. I was super excited when I saw this book floating on the Hachette catalogue for 2018 and just knew I had to have it. I figured okay, I can wait until April. It doesn't seem to be anywhere in Canada prior to its release so I can wait until April. ....friends, I actually SQUEALED when I saw it was in my mailbox. THANK YOU HACHETTE BOOK GROUP CANADA. I am so pumped to share the Circe ARC with you all for this ARCstravaganza Monday. I'm already halfway and loving it! So put Circe on your TBR shelves. :) See below for the synopsis and links for pre-order if you'd like.

SYNOPSIS
In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child--not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power--the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves. Threatened, Zeus banishes her to a deserted island, where she hones her occult craft, tames wild beasts and crosses paths with many of the most famous figures in all of mythology, including the Minotaur, Daedalus and his doomed son Icarus, the murderous Medea, and, of course, wily Odysseus. But there is danger, too, for a woman who stands alone, and Circe unwittingly draws the wrath of both men and gods, ultimately finding herself pitted against one of the most terrifying and vengeful of the Olympians. To protect what she loves most, Circe must summon all her strength and choose, once and for all, whether she belongs with the gods she is born from, or the mortals she has come to love. With unforgettably vivid characters, mesmerizing language and page-turning suspense, Circe is a triumph of storytelling, an intoxicating epic of family rivalry, palace intrigue, love and loss, as well as a celebration of indomitable female strength in a man's world.
