MILANA'S REVIEW
What could be better than a story with magic? A story with magic and AIRSHIPS. The Black God's Drums was emotionally potent, full of strong diverse characters, an entire black cast and airships! The main character, Creeper, has a voice that will hit you with a force you won't be able to handle. She is fantastic!
Clark's storytelling is mesmerizing and I'm going to describe the worldbuilding as asthetically perfect, steampunk-esque if you will. The sci fi vibe is on point with African mythology mixed with futuristic technology.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, TorDotCom finds the best short stories!
